There's nothing better for me than a family that trusts my creative tastes and allows me free reign with what I do best...events! Esme wanted a pink poodle in Paris party for her Bat Mitzvah and I couldn't have been more excited to get to work! Her only request was to incorporate a blush pink with black and white stripes! Of course Madmoiselle! Merci Beaucoup!
When you first walked into the event, you walked into an evening in Paris. Guests were set in a Paris Marketplace adorned with vintage tea carts with awnings, florals, galvenized tins, french bread and magazines. Bistro Tables were set up to mimick a french marketplace.
A baroque rococco mirror was personalized with handwritten calligraphy to show the guests to their tables; the newest trend in seating charts.
A mime greeted guests as they entered the Parisian wonderland.
A pink birdcage with a shabby chic frame was used to hold cards and gifts.
I designed a custom guest book for Esme that was a bit out of the norm. Guests were asked to pick out a vintage postcard from Paris and write a short note to the birthday girl. They were then asked to place the cards in the envelopes attached to the pages.
An antique bicycle planter at the entrace to the cocktail hour.
Of course, no grand entrance would be complete without the Hora!
Esme's custom round dancefloor was a showstopper by Platinum Pro. It had her beautiful logo on it, of a gorgeous silhouette of a girl in Paris walking her poodle.
Esme's young guests were entertained to the fullest! Dana and Bill from Pastiche came in to do a custom perfume station, along with a flipbook / photobooth, hair - makeup - and tattoo station, wax hands, and Ben and Jerry's made everyone's delight with a make-your-own sundae station!
Her candy buffet and cotton candy station was quite the hit too!
The cake was absolutely adorable and created by a family friend
Her Chanel inspired candles for her candle lighting ceremony were placed on a large Eiffel Tower and embelished with coordinating flowers to give it the perfect look!
Tables were a combination of a black candelabra with dangling crystals and an eiffel tower with gorgeous floral arrangements surrounded by Chanel themed and crystal rhinestone candles in a blush pink water. Table settings were made up of a black gothic charger plate with a custom menu and adorable favor, and the chiavari chairs were mixed with a beautiful black and white stripe bustled chair cover with a crystal brooch.
Favors were a glass bell jar with two french macaron cookies in a vanilla/chocolate, strawberry variety. The gift tags were a vintage insprired poodle with a glittered flag, eiffel tower charm and imported paper flower.
I would say that our evening in Paris was a success!
